Recently graduated from the Online Full Stack Web Development course. After completing the course, I feel that I've learned an incredible amount and am fluent in HTML, Javascript, and CSS as well as React. Overall, there were a few problems with the course.... Read More The way that it works is you have access to folders containing PDFs which you read and complete tasks, for which you need to do additional research which is fine. There are also some video lectures, which are helpful during the first section (basics) but as you progress through the course there are fewer of them and they become less useful / out of date. I found that the course PDFs were often out of date and missing key steps for how to create the apps that they required to pass the course. All they need to do is update the course materials, which is what we pay for. This caused a lot of stress and is unacceptable for a course for which you pay thousands of UK £'s. One word of warning is that the time frame they give you for earlier tasks are very reasonable, but towards the end they become near impossible. The final suggested time frame occurs AFTER the end of support, which is concerning. This seriously needs reviewing because from the discord forum it looks like this happened to a few people, and some has to pay to get extension to their support. Hyperion need to review this. My advice is get two weeks ahead of this timeline before you get into the last month - you'll need it. I did have calls with Mentors on a couple of occasions and they were useful in talking you through how to complete tasks. One mentor even took my task away and sent it back to me a day later with suggestions which was very helpful. On two occasions I requested help through the ticketing system (once because the course materials mentioned additional reading which hadn't been provided, and once because one of my tasks was reviewed incorrectly) and received no help at all. I just gave up asking for help via the ticketing system. I didn't do the course with University accreditation but I would be interested to hear if the level of support was better if you did the University accredited version of the course. I suspect if not, then universities might distance themselves from Hyperion.

Felt like Math in Highschool all over again. I can't complain as an online course is supposed to teach and not provide answers! Overall my experience so far has been great. I finished the data science bootcamp and can confirm it is utter trash. So many students have spoken out against Hyperiondev because of the poor experience they have had too. Don’t waste your time with Hyperiondev. Very unprofessional, poor curriculum and support. Choose a different bootcamp.

I am nearing the end of my Immersive Full Stack and Software Engineering bootcamp with HyperionDev, and the experience has been spectacular! With this bootcamp, I have learnt so much more about front-end and back-end web development and software engineering... Read More than what I would have learnt on my own. The course is structured very well and progressively gets more complex, as every new task builds on the concepts from previous tasks and you begin to see how everything fits together. The mentors and code reviewers are very knowledgeable and are very willing to help you if you are stuck on a task. I also appreciate the fact that the mentors and code reviewers always give you constructive criticism regardless of whether you get 100% for a task or less. I am very excited to soon be assisted by HyperionDev's career services to enter the job market upon submission of my final task.

I self-funded this course. I enjoyed the first few modules, and I am generally good in self-studying. However, the pdf lessons were just lacking content in relation to completing the assignments, and I had to do more research. 1:1 mentor support had been... Read More unavailable twice, and they were not knowledgeable enough to answer my coding queries. Unfortunately, I had to stop the course after the 1st month due to illness and finance issues. But guess what, they still wanted me pay the full tuition. There were several breeches in their contract. I had to raise complaints with the affiliated Uni and Department of Education. I'm surprised that I'm not the only one facing these issues. This bootcamp was well advertised (posters on trains, adds on Facebook), and it had good & unrealistic promises, but the teaching method has not delivered. Their model seems like a kickstarter & a money making scheme, and like the others commenting below, I will raise them to court if necessary. They deserve more attention from the media.

Waste of money and time. The material is a bunch if pdf files poorly written on a dropbox. The mentors are students with no experience and unable to clarify most of your questions. Luckily I didn't have to pay for this course, however, it has been a shambles from the beginning. I applied for this course, then didn't hear anything about it for months, then all the emails came to my spam inbox. From then, they told me I had been enrolled... Read More in a Cloud Engineering course, then when it came to looking at the course content, was very much basic coding fundamentals. Additionally, you have to sign legal forms just to be able to see this course content, as their support team told me... I wasn't able to see anything until I signed the forms. When it came to the lectures, the tutor was 15 minutes late. I asked about the course content and he said that this was necessary to know about Cloud Computing, yet the email I received said that they would update my dashboard to reflect this. So a few mixed signals here... After doing some research I saw that people on a reddit thread claimed they didn't get their certificates after completing the course. Then today, I had an email saying that they had to unexpectedly cancel the course, saying "we are no longer able to continue to provide the Cloud Engineering skills bootcamp, with immediate effect." Honestly so many red flags, would avoid at all costs. Not worth the hassle to be honest. UPDATE: Seems like many of the good reviews are from the same location, and have similar opinions and they also only have 1 review...
