AND THIS IS DEFINITELY THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU!!! To find out more, just read other comments here and you will understand the TRUE NATURE of HyperionDev (And for all those 5* reviews, yes they are all real, they are all written by their real students, they did not receive any incentives to leave those positive comments, as you can see they are definitely not vaguely written, and you should really take them seriously :P)

The real course content you will be taught on the software engineer bootcamp is woefully inadequate to set you up for a job - it doesn't even cover some extremely basic skills that you'll need e.g. APIs.

The course and company are woeful. Poor and outright incorrect information and learning materials, toxic culture, and misadvertised in multiple ways. Please take my words on board and avoid this course. Your time will be much better spent elsewhere and... They kicked out students from their discord server who dare to complain. 
-They changed the half of the tasks to optional to reduce the number of the drop out students.
-Force you to apply for jobs from day 1 without any experience or learning (since... Read More they get the money from DfE after the student got an interview)
-Lecturer has no experience at all and we were sitting on a lecture for 1 hour to see that the lecturer cannot solve a problem.
-You cannot book a mentor for 1 to 1 since they don't have enough mentors or not even comes to the meeting after you got a date.
-They started to flag negative feedbacks here to try to make their feedbacks better.
-They removed their UK branch to remove Google review since they had nearly 2 stars feedback on it(so now you can find them only in Africa).

It’s a disgrace that the government is even paying towards a non existent course that literally passed everyone before finishing to get the funding for all the students on the course without even providing any sufficient training.

Course materials were really poor. The data visualisation examples could have been used as examples of what not to do. I work in this field and it felt like the materials were written by someone with no experience in it at all
Concepts were introduced... Read More in the compulsory tasks that were missing from the notes and example code. Some element of self-directed learning is fine, but it felt like they had just forgotten to mention them.
Some of the sample code just didn't run, and mentors were unable to work out why
Some of the tasks could not possibly give the required output, and again mentors could not explain why.

Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit... Read More and you will really get the gist of it. It seems like they have payed people to write good reviews about them and that they block, silence or threaten anyone who writes negative reviews about them. Go and check out Trust pilot and you will see that they have flagged a lot of reviews.. God forbid anyone says anything bad about them or exposes the truth about them.. There is a massive lack of staff it seems so response rate is very slow and support seems non-existent when it is urgent. I have waited up to three weeks to get responses from the student support department, to the point where I had to tag the staff on a Discord group chat to get their attention. The course content somehow seems incomplete as most tasks (especially the capstone projects) do not relate to what has been learned in the 'pdfs'. Also shocking that it is a supposed tech company but they don't even have a proper student dashboard where one can obtain the course material. They basically give you a Dropbox link where you can download pdf files which are highly superficial level. You can teach yourself more from the internet (and for free), and you will get more knowledge than what you can ever get in their incomplete 'pdf' course work. They boast that you will be career ready after taking their bootcamps and almost promise that you will get a job after completing it but most of the student job success is because they hire past students the be teachers and mentors for the next year.

There exists now a huge community of students that are incredibly disillusioned with Hyperiondev. The course is of extremely poor quality, almost no interactivity, extremely limited content and many topics that are advertised are not taught. Hyperiondev... Read More has been silencing students who speak out by kicking them off the course unfairly. On other websites it seems they have been leaving themselves lots of good reviews. If you go on Trustpilot, go on company info, and you can see: over 75% of reviews that they took down, were reinstated by Trustpilot for NOT actually breaking community guidelines.

Very poor course material (PDFs in a dropbox) - Unprepared lecturers and sketchy connections - Very time consuming "Build Your Brand" task where you are asked to source recruiter and hiring manager contacts for HyperionDev - Mentors only available after... Read More 1-2 weeks so not help when stuck - Even if you finish all tasks perfectly, you will not get a certificate of completion UNLESS YOU YOURSELF secure an interview. - You will only be eligible for a possible university co-certification if you also secure a job (by yourself of course) by a set deadline. - Skills taught are VERY basic.

I did the UK Government-funded bootcamp in Web Dev, which wasn't full-stack. Positives: - the lecturer we had - meeting other students who were helpful and supportive (hands down the best thing about the course, which is probably why they removed the... Read More forums where we could connect). Negatives: - no learning environment or platform: it's just a Dropbox of pdfs and a lot of them aren't a great quality (confusingly written, especially what you're meant to do for the tasks, and lots of mistakes or out of date info) - really hard to get the 1:1 support that's promised - the support systems kept changing and sometimes you had to wait weeks for problems to be solved or to receive clarification - lots of automated emails were sent incorrectly - communication to students from some of the top people at the company was really bad - human code reviews were very inconsistent and comments were copied and pasted sometimes (with wrong names and wrong task details) - the Discord server had channels removed very suddenly so students were left with nowhere to talk - confusing info about how to get the certificate (seems you have to get a job to get the certificate, which makes little sense) - even less info about how to get a certificate that's got a university name on it (still not a lot of clarity about this) - advertised university partners weren't even confirmed at the start of the course - internet at HypDev headquarters is so bad that some lectures got abandoned halfway through (this happened about twice) and mentor calls were interrupted for ages when they're already really short - some mentors couldn't help (didn't seem to have enough knowledge) - a week got taken off the length of the course (made it tricky to finish, and some people didn't because they've got less time than they thought) - doesn't actually prepare you for a job - no guaranteed interview like you're told there is - right at the end, people who hadn't finished the course suddenly heard they'd completed it because a majority of the tasks were suddenly made "optional" - students are very, very unhappy about this - students were banned from forums for asking legitimate questions - students were disenrolled and given no reason or evidence for it. Avoid this course! You shouldn't take it for free - you definitely shouldn't pay for it! I've chatted to students who started the paid course before any government bootcamps started. They confirm that many of the issues above were already there before they took on hundreds of UK students.
